Love Parade Statistics: 1989-2000

The first Love Parade took place in 1989, when Dr. Motte and some of his friends went out into Berlin streets with the slogans in their hands and music accompanying their parade. The motto was "Friede, Freude, Eierkuchen" ("Peace, Joy, Omelette"), and 150 participants made this event a parade.
